File (reads) Decompression Instructions

Microsoft Windows

The file size of larger read sets are not compatible with the typical zip format. Eureka Genomics implements an alternative solution for these files. Files with the ".gz" extension have been compressed with "gzip."
To decompress these files on the Microsoft Windows operating system you will need to download the open source application "7zip."

Once installed, any zip, gz or tar file can be decompressed.

Unix/Linux

Most Unix/Linux systems have the gzip/gunzip application.

To decompress a file: "gunzip filename"
