Eureka Genomics signs an exclusive licensing agreement with University of Houston to develop and commercialize bioinformatics applications

The University of Houston Center for Industrial Partnerships signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Eureka Genomics, a company based in Houston TX, to develop and commercialize bioinformatics technology for genome discovery. These novel technologies were developed by a team lead by Professor Yuriy Fofanov at the University of Houston. .We are very pleased to be working with University of Houston to bring to market services and applications associated with our powerful genome analysis tools. The potential of these tools to rapidly generate in silico validated ultraspecific molecular signatures is tremendous. We expect the impact of this technology to extend to diagnostics, therapeutics, vaccines and all the way to primary analysis of data generated by current and future generations of sequencing., says Didier Perez, COO of Eureka Genomics. .This licensing agreement is an example of how the Center for Industrial Partnerships is efficiently bridging industry to faculty for the commercialization of its technologies through intellectual property licensing and research contracts.
