Eureka Genomics Corporation is a rapidly expanding biotechnology company that is focused on providing the very best in high throughput sequencing (Next Generation Sequencing) and advanced analysis of sequence (genomic and metagenomic) data. Eureka Genomics. Houston, TX based Bioinformatics department is expanding its operations and is seeking to fill 1 full-time position for a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist I (Bioinformatics) AND 1 full-time position for a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist II (Bioinformatics). Both hires will help Eureka Genomics with development, testing and implementation of our proprietary Molecular Diagnostics and Next Generation Sequencing data analysis software. This is a chance to participate in projects that directly impact the company and represent the state-of-the-art developments in Molecular Diagnostics and biotechnology.

Education/Experience:

Research Scientist I: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science is required. Masters of Science degree or PhD in Bioinformatics or Computer Science with demonstrated knowledge of biology and/or life sciences is preferred. Two (2) years of recent industry experience is preferred.

Research Scientist II: Masters of Science degree or PhD in Bioinformatics or Computer Science with demonstrated knowledge of biology and/or life sciences is required. At least three (3) years of recent industry experience is required. At least 5 years in C, C++, with experience in algorithm development and implementation is preferred.

Required Skills

• Experience in C/C++ in a Linux/UNIX/Windows environments
• Experience with scripting languages, such as python, perl, php
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with other company scientists and software engineers
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organization.
