Custom Design of Ultra-Specific Signatures
for Multiple Pathogen DetectionThe cornerstone of a molecular diagnostic assay is the specificity of the nucleic acid sequence that is detected. This is complicated when multiple pathogens need to be detected in a single assay. Eureka Genomics offers the in silico design of multiplexed ultra-specific signature sequences based on full genome comparisons. These ultra-specific signatures will be designed to the requirements of your platform (microarray probes, PCR primers, RT-PCR probes/primers, etc.). Genetic information used in the design of ultra-specific signatures can come from the Eureka Genomics' data collection, be provided by the client, or be generated de novo by Eureka Genomics.
Eureka Genomics approach to Ultra-Specific Signature Design is unique.
Ultra-specific signature sequences that are 2, 3, or 4 mismatches (insertions, deletions and substitutions on any position and in any combination) away from all subsequences in the host/background genomic materials are generated.
Hundreds of complete genomes and genes can be used in the background.
Signatures for hundreds of genomic targets can be designed in one run.
The minimal combination of the ultra-specific genomic signatures (ultra-specific assay) to detect and distinguish any number of genomic targets from a background (clinical sample) can be designed.
The design is modified to your platform (array probes, multiplex PCR primers, multiplex RT-PCR probes/primers, et cetera).
If insufficient genomic sequence data is available, Eureka Genomics can sequence customer samples.
