Title: Software Development Engineer

Eureka Genomics® Corporation is a rapidly expanding biotechnology company that is focused on providing the very best in Next Generation Sequencing and advanced post-sequencing analysis of genomic data. Eureka Genomics Houston, TX based Bioinformatics department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer to help us further develop our proprietary Molecular Diagnostics and Next Generation Sequencing data analysis software. This is a chance to work on a small and innovative development team, and to participate in projects that impact both the company and state-of-the-art developments in Molecular Diagnostics and biotechnology.

The position requires a strong engineer with recent hands-on coding experience C++. The ability to work in both Windows and Unix environments, including intimate knowledge of XML is a requirement. Experience working with complex architectures, databases, and knowledge of scripting languages, such as perl and php, are highly desirable. We expect the ideal candidate to work both independently, as well as in collaboration with other members of our development and management teams.

Qualifications:

• Experience solving complex software problems
• A record of successful delivery and the ability to work both independently and in a team
• Experience in C/C++ in a Linux/UNIX/Windows environments
• Experience in XML design
• Experience with scripting languages, such as python, perl, php is desirable
• Minimum of three years of software development experience
• Desirable - experience in writing FDA approvable code.
• BS in CS or engineering (MS or PhD is a plus)
